All About the Details -

Trisha Brookbank and Brian Burkhardt came together in 2007 when Brian, a professional and established sculptor traveling on business, fell in love with Trisha’s art.  Instantly enthralled by her work, meeting the woman behind the concept sealed their fate as collaborators in creation and in life. Trisha + Brian = Triian: Modern Era Gems.  

Brian is a graduate of the School of Museum of Fine Arts with numerous accolades and exhibitions to his name.  Like a mad scientist conjuring artistic experiments, his installations offer a voyage into a world where flora and fauna meet modernism.  Hailing from Syracuse University and Cranbrook Academy of Art, Trisha’s sculptural work has also enabled her to travel internationally, presenting in both group and solo shows at world-class galleries.    

Their mutual affinity for the minutiae of things, modern materials, bright colors and beauty in its purest and most raw forms have fueled Trisha and Brian’s ability to apply the techniques and processes acquired from their craft to jewelry.  They approach each piece as a wearable sculpture.  The process they use to make their gems ensures that no piece is ever the same in composition or design.

Triian: Modern Era Gems are fresh, whimsical and unique.  Tailored for the discerning shopper who finds joy in one-of-a-kindness, Trisha and Brian hand-fabricate, sand, polish and adorn their stone creations with Swarovski crystals. Constructed solely from synthetic and reclaimed materials, these Modern Era Gems are exceptionally authentic to nature albeit extremely lightweight.   Triian offers something special, using their shared vision to synthesize nature through their own brand of gemological research.
